Farmington Civic Center will host American actor, singer-songwriter and guitarist Ronny Cox for a workshop at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8 and concert Nov. 9 at the Civic Center, 200 W. Arrington St., Farmington.
Cox tours regularly with a band, performs at theaters and festivals. As an actor, he is best known for his debut performance as Drew Ballinger in the 1972 film “Deliverance,” in which he appears in what many consider to be one of the most memorable scenes in cinema history playing the instrumental “Dueling Banjos” on his guitar.
The workshop on Nov. 8 will feature a movie viewing with Cox and him speaking on his experiences filming on location. The workshop is $20. The Saturday concert will feature Cox sharing his music and life stories. Tickets are $20-$28.
