Rosca de Reyes celebration to be held

The Good Food Collective, Animas Valley Grange, Latin X and CultivArtsl will be hosting a community celebration of Rosca de Reyes from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 5 at the Animas Valley Grange, 7271 County Road 203.

In Mexico, Dia de los Reyes on Jan. 6 is the day that closes the Christmas festivities and is marked by the tradition of serving food, featuring Rosca de Reyes or King’s Cake, a braided sweet bread.

Everyone in the community is invited to join in the celebration with a Good Food Collective spin – a locally sourced potluck lunch and rosca.

Additional activities will include yoga en espanol, zumba en espanol, juguetes (toys and games) with music by DJ Euforia.

The main course and rosca will be provided. Consider bringing a side dish or dessert to share. This event is free and open to all and donations are welcome.
