Ross, a national retailer, will open on Saturday in the Durango Mall.
The clothing store will open in a 21,000-square-foot space that has been vacant for many years.
It will be the 33rd Ross location in Colorado. It is part of the retailer's plan to open 70 locations this year, according to a news release .
The company sells clothing, accessories, shoes and housewares at discount prices.
The company's expansion comes as several other large retailers have left town.
As part of a bankruptcy, RadioShack closed 200 stores including the location on Main Avenue in May. Rue21 in the Durango Mall closed this summer, when the chain closed about a third of its stores nationally.
