Durango Police Department historian Sharon Greve will speak to the Rotary Club of Durango at its dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.
Serving as the first volunteer historian of the department in 2012, Greve will present about the early Durango residents’ cry for law and order and a police department.
A 2011 graduate of the Citizen’s Police Academy, Greve is the author of “Beyond the Badge, Law and Disorder, Durango, CO 1881‐1949.” She also was a researcher and writer for the documentary film “Tragedy at El Morro.”
