Rotary Club of Durango to host presentation on local forests

Mark Loveall, local supervisory forester for Colorado State Forest Service, will speak about the threats posed by insects and disease to local forests at a virtual meeting of the Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom.

Loveall’s presentation, “What’s Eating Our Trees?” will provide an overview of the variety of agents that affect the health of local forests. He will also discuss results from the 2020 Statewide Insect and Disease Survey and the outlook for local forests in the coming years.

Colorado State Forest Service is a service and outreach agency of the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University.
