Rotary Club of Durango to host talk

Representatives from the Alzheimer’s Association will speak a virtual meeting of the Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom.

Led by Debra Antista-Bianchi, regional director in southern Colorado, the team will discuss 10 warning signs of Alzheimer’s and dementia to help attendees recognize common signs of the disease and next steps to take, including how to talk to a doctor.

Antista-Bianchi supports all direct services including care consultations, education and support groups. With more than 30 years in the nonprofit sector, she joined the association in 2017 and became responsible for the Southern Colorado Region last July.

Also presenting will be Teresa Valko, chairwoman of the San Juan Basin Alzheimer’s and Dementia Initiative, and Erin Leeper, senior director for mass market events in Colorado.

Virtual visitors using Zoom are welcome.
