Jeremy Foote will speak about the La Plata County Historical Society and the Animas Museum at a virtual meeting of the Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday on Zoom.
Foote will focus on the history and mission of the society and its management of the museum. Also included will be some of the challenges small local museums and historical societies are facing during the ongoing pandemic.
Foote is past president and board member of the society. He has been a volunteer for the society since 2016. He is also director of marketing operations for the Cognizant Microsoft Business Group.
Virtual visitors using Zoom are welcome.
