Durango Code Enforcement Officer Steve Barkley will provide an overview of city code enforcement to the Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.

Barkley has managed and coordinated multiple operations throughout his professional experiences. He is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, past manager of system operations at America West Airlines and for 12 years has been Type III Logistics Section chief for the Southwest Colorado Incident management team coordinating team facilities, supplies, communications, ground support and medical needs. He was Durango’s special events coordinator for 10 years and has been code enforcement officer since 2002.
