Motivational speaker André van Hall will speak at a virtual meeting of the Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom.
Known as the Curiosity Instigator, he will explain how, and why, curiosity is the catalyst for bringing about productive change. He encourages initiative at all levels of an organization and compels team members to challenge the status quo by suggesting better ways of performing tasks.
A 40-year veteran of the hospitality industry, van Hall has managed organizations with more than 1,000 employees. After suddenly going blind over a two-week period in 2011, his family and friends helped him “see” the importance of becoming curious about alternatives and thrive in spite of this insurmountable challenge.
