Tilyian Phannenstiel, Peace Corps regional recruiter, and Charlie Hunt, president of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Colorado, will speak to Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom.
Phannenstiel and Hunt will discuss Peace Corps’ programs, requirements and benefits, and how to volunteer. Meeting participants will learn how Rotary has partnered with the Peace Corps on projects abroad and how groups can support international initiatives.
Phannenstiel served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica from 2016 to 2018. Before rejoining the Peace Corps as a recruiter, she had several years experience in nonprofit organizations. Hunt is retired from business improvement nonprofits in Denver and is active in promoting the Peace Corps partnership with Rotary.
