The Rotary Club of Durango will host a presentation about Thomas Jefferson at its next meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.
Retired teacher and historian Mike Gallaher will provide an in-depth look at Jefferson including the good, the bad and the ugly; while concluding he deserves our admiration.
A retired community college teacher, U.S. history is Gallaher’s hobby. He is currently writing a book about the economic impact of the Lewis and Clark Expedition on the economy of the West.
