On Tuesday, the Rotary Club of Durango will learn about the Citizens Police Academy and the “shift with a cop” programs of the Durango Police Department. Speaking to the club will be DPD Sgt. Will Sweetwood. Sweetwood is a graduate of Fort Lewis College and has been a Durango police officer since 2007.
The club’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave. Visitors are welcome.
