Chip Huntoon was a member of the Durango Daybreak Rotary club who died eight years ago. To honor his memory, the club is asking for donations to be made to Manna soup kitchen, as the organization was one of his passions.
Nonperishable food items will be accepted at both the north and south City Markets as well as Albertsons and Natures Oasis grocery stores from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 8). Monetary donations can be provided directly to Manna in the form of a check. General hygiene items are also accepted.
The Durango Daybreak Rotary Club would like to thank south City Market for donating $5,000 worth of product to the cause.
