Roundtable to discussion collective solutions to produce production

“Growing Smarter Together,” a roundtable discussion about increasing individual produce production through collective solutions, will be held from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Feb. 16 in Cortez. Location details will be provided with registration.

Farmers will share skills and explore collective opportunities to increase a farm’s income through more efficient production, harvest and marketing.

Roundtable participants will:

Identify bottlenecks limiting a farm’s production, harvest and sales. Explore skills, knowledge, resources and actions to address these inefficiencies. Determine and initiate collaborative solutions to these bottlenecks. Learn about local labor pool development efforts begun by the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union and Fort Lewis College. Come away with opportunities to attend farm demonstrations and to access farm business consulting services with the Small Business Development Center. This free event will be hosted by Southwest Farm Fresh and Colorado SBDC Network in Southwest Colorado.
