My work as a photographer and writer takes me all over the West. I’m proud that Colorado has been requiring the oil and gas industry to clean up after itself and protected our natural environment.
Leaked methane gas is one of the most significant contributors to human-caused climate change. Its unregulated release into the environment is bad for my family, bad for our state and bad for our economy.
Sen. Cory Gardner voted to kill the federal Methane Rule, voting against the policy of his home state. Damaging our landscape in pursuit of oil and gas will be far more destructive to our economy than asking the oil and gas industry to clean up after itself.
As a photographer, the clean air and wide open spaces of the West are an economic resource that needs to be protected for my livelihood, and others who depend on it for theirs.
