RV park not welcome in neighborhood

I attended the recent planning commission meeting regarding the proposed recreational vehicle park at the south end of San Juan County.

My husband and I are homeowners and taxpayers at Cascade Village and are opposed to this type of development. We have invested a large amount of money based on the established zoning standards. The project under consideration proposes to undermine the value of up to 28 homesites at Twilight Meadow by its deviation from the established standards already at Cascade.

Our trust in San Juan County government has been eroded by the planning commission vote. We hope the San Juan County Commission does its job on April 13 and listens to the residents and taxpayers they are sworn to protect.

An RV park by any name is not wanted in our neighborhood.
