Thank you to Patrick Armijo for the great article (“
Sports teams doing their fund raiser car washes (guess who paid for the water?). Who listened to the complaints when the car wasn’t washed quite right or even worse when a scratch was discovered? Low tires, flat tires? Never a problem because there was always time to get the repair and a smile to go with it.
“For Sale By Owner” – how many people Sammy helped sell their vehicle no one knows.
That is just a few of the Sammy-Stories, but let’s also thank those who gave him the support and made sure he was out the door in the morning to be at work for us. The Denham name is known in the 9R community, Marcie (Sammy’s wife) taught school for many years and then became a principal. Thanks, Marcie, for helping not only Sammy get to work all the time but making a difference and an impact on the many children, families and teachers you worked with.
Marcie and Sammy have two kids that grew up here in Durango. Thanks to them for “missing him” when he was out the door before they got up and working late, causing Sammy to miss out or be late to their school presentations as well as sport events during middle school and high school years. Thanks Tyler and Brittney for sharing your dad with us all.
With that said, hopefully Sammy will sleep in until 7, make Marcie breakfast and enjoy being on the road in the trailer; they deserve some time to relax together after all the years of dedicating so much of their energy to Durango.
