The San Juan Basin Archaeological Society will host a presentation at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College.
Archaeologist Richard Friedman will present “Using Computer Technology to Aid in the Identification, Documentation and Visualization of the Chacoan Landscape (Built Environment).”
Friedman combines diverse skill sets in geology, remote sensing, archaeology and new digital technologies to study the Chacoan world. He is also a remote-sensing expert who has studied Chacoan roads for more than 30 years using a variety of techniques.
A social gathering will be held at 6:30 p.m. before the presentation.
