San Juan College Dental Hygiene Program and the local dental society will participate in the national Give Kids a Smile Day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 5. This is the 18th year the college’s dental hygiene program has participated in and hosted the event.
Dental hygiene students and local dentists will provide dental care, free of charge, to economically disadvantaged children, ages 5 to 12.
Because of pandemic restrictions, only 30 slots will be available this year. Children from San Juan County are eligible to receive services.
The American Dental Association sponsors this event nationally on an annual basis and the Northwest District Dental Society is sponsoring it locally.
