San Juan College Music Program will stream its Fall End-of-Semester Student showcase, as students feature their musical talents while completing their final exams.
The first in the series of showcases, A Night of “Live” online Jazz, featuring the San Juan College Jazz Combo will take place at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Jazz Combo will perform “Giant Steps” by John Coltrane, “A Night In Tunisia” by Dizzy Gillespie and “Freedom Jazz Dance” by Eddie Harris. The Specials Combo will feature vocalist Margaret Clair on “Lullaby of Birdland” by George Shearing, “500 Miles High” by Chick Corea and Xinyu Yang on Benny Golson’s “I Remember Clifford.” The Sax Combo will perform Herbie Hancock’s “Maiden Voyage,” Coltrane’s “Blue Train” and “When I Fall In Love” by Victor Young.

No audience will be permitted access to the classroom and social distancing and other health/safety requirements are being observed.
