At Tuesday’s San Juan County Commission meeting, commissioners presented representatives of the San Juan United Way with a check representing pledged donations for the 2020 Community Campaign.
San Juan County Employees generously pledged $22,373 to support the community in 2020, an increase of 22% from last year.
San Juan United Way holds workplace giving campaigns at businesses across the county to give individuals the opportunity to donate to local nonprofit services through payroll deduction.
This year, more than 100 nonprofit organizations received donor designations from San Juan United Way. The Community Impact Fund awarded grants to 18 local Partner Agencies that provide food, shelter, victim services and educational initiatives in San Juan County.
