San Juan County will host the Fall Dumpster Day on Saturday so residents can get rid of waste free.
During normal business hours, county solid waste transfer stations will accept normal loads free. The free dumping is limited to San Juan County residents and all normal restrictions will apply.
The transfer stations in Cedar Hill, Huerfano, Kirtland, La Plata, Lee Acres and Waterflow will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for free dumping.
Lake Valley, Sand Springs, Shiprock and Upper Fruitland will be open only if weekend lockdowns are lifted on the Navajo Nation.
Participants must have proof of residency in San Juan County, and loads may not be more than 3 cubic yards, which is a pickup bed loaded to the top of the bed.
