San Juan County will hold Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the San Juan County Administration Building, 100 S. Oliver Drive, in Aztec.
This is an opportunity for residents to dispose of waste that shouldn’t be thrown in the trash, such as batteries, light bulbs, auto fluids, household cleaners, gardening chemicals and aerosols.
Residents of Bloomfield, Kirtland and the unincorporated part of San Juan County may drop off household hazardous waste at the county administration building for free. Aztec and Farmington residents who use Waste Management can schedule a curbside pickup as part of their billed services.
Proof of residency will be required. No industrial or business waste, 55-gallon drums, appliances or e-waste will be accepted.
