Patients visiting San Juan Health Partners clinics are now able to bring one patient advocate with them to their appointment. This limited visitor policy aims to ensure that patients have the help and support they need, while continuing to keep safety at the forefront during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new policies are:
One patient advocate may attend the visit with the patient.Patient advocates must be screened (current symptom, exposure and temperature check), wear a mask (masks with exhalation valves are not permitted) and 3) sanitize hands.Patient advocates who do not meet screening criteria, decline to wear a mask or decline to sanitize hands will be educated on alternative methods of attending the visit with patient.A limited visitor policy is still in effect at San Juan Regional Medical Center, allowing one adult visitor for non-COVID patients between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
