San Juan Health Partners Pediatrics offers outdoor respiratory clinic

San Juan Health Partners Pediatrics is taking extra steps to care for children by hosting an outdoor respiratory drive-through for children from 1 to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

This will ensure that children with potentially contagious respiratory symptoms are able to receive care quickly and conveniently without having to go into the clinic. It also reduces the chances of exposing anyone inside the pediatrics clinic.

For children exhibiting respiratory symptoms, call San Juan Health Partners Pediatrics at (505) 609-6700. After arriving in the parking lot, call the front desk to check in. Patients will be assigned a parking spot next to the building where they will be seen by a medical assistant and a provider. Parents should have ID and insurance information with them.

Symptoms that warrant a visit to our outdoor respiratory clinic include temperature of 100.4 degrees or above, coughing, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell.

There are plans for expanded hours as flu and RSV season progresses.

Children who have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive patient in the last two weeks, those who have been contacted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the Department of Health or placed under a self-quarantine for COVID-19 and those who have traveled by air in the last two weeks will also be seen through the outdoor respiratory clinic.
