San Juan Mountains Association’s eighth annual Christmas tree lot will open at noon Friday at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad parking lot on the corner of Camino del Rio and College Drive.
Proceeds benefit SJMA’s conservation education and public lands stewardship programs. The lot will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Sundays to Fridays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 20
Touchless pickup is available for trees preordered online. The lot will have white fir trees harvested from overgrown stands on the San Juan National Forest as well as balsam fir and Frasier fir from a Wisconsin tree farm.
