San Juan Mountains Association is seeking volunteers to deliver experiential nature education programs to elementary and middle school groups this fall.
A volunteer recruitment and orientation meeting for helping with elementary/middle school groups will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday on the west lawn of the Smiley Building.
Volunteers will lead small group activities related to various natural history and environmental science concepts.
SJMA will be using the same COVID-19 precautions used during summer camps, including small group sizes, masks when in close proximity and social-distancing measures.
No experience or special skill sets are required, other than a desire to connect kids with nature.
Refreshments and individually packaged snacks will be provided.
