Mountain Studies Institute will hold its second annual San Juan Odyssey Tour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 15 in the San Juan Mountains.
Participants of the daylong tour will board a vehicle provided by Switzerland of America in Silverton and continue through the San Juan Mountains. The tour will feature panoramic vistas, fall foliage and historic mining sites, with expert interpretive guides available to share knowledge and answer questions about the geology, hydrology, flora, fauna and history of the area.
Registration is required. Cost is $125 before Aug. 15 and $135 for general admission. Space is limited.
