San Juan Regional Medical Center will extend its External Assessment area into next week.
Patients with cold and flu-like symptoms including fever, cough, body aches, sore throat and runny nose can drive through and be evaluated and treated if necessary. This includes consideration for COVID-19 testing. The final decision on testing is at the discretion of the assessing provider with those in certain high-risk groups prioritized.
Assessments will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Bring ID and insurance information. Patients without symptoms should not come to the assessment and do not need testing for COVID-19.
Community members may also call the COVID-19 screening line at (505) 675-4722 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A registered nurse can answer questions about COVID-19 screening.
