San Juan Regional Medical Center is grateful for the outpouring of support from the community and encourages continued support. The hospital continues to need cloth-mask and surgical-cap donations.
To date, the hospital has received more than 4,200 cloth-mask donations and 460 scrub-cap donations from individuals and groups. The hospital is asking the community to continue making these items for health care workers and community members. Surgical masks should be made of 100% cotton or cotton blend.
Donations are welcome at the main entrance of the hospital from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Because there is no vaccine to prevent COVID-19, the best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed.
Presymptomatic and asymptomatic individuals can transmit the virus, making it important to wear a cloth mask while in public.
