San Juan Regional Medical Center has eased visitor restrictions at the hospital, enacting a limited visitor policy for admitted non-COVID patients.
One visitor will be allowed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. All visitors must be aged 18 or older. Visitors will be subject to a health screening upon entrance to the hospital.
All visitors are required to practice proper hand hygiene and wear a cloth face mask. No masks with valves are allowed, and no overnight visitors are allowed.
Only one visitor will be allowed per day, per admitted non-COVID patient.
The no visitor policy is still in place for COVID patients, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis. The current visitor restrictions in the Emergency Department still stand, and include non-respiratory/non-COVID patients may only be accompanied to the treatment area by a maximum of one adult visitor or family member, visitors may be asked to complete a health screening and the lobby is reserved for patients waiting to be seen. No visitors are allowed for COVID patients.
