San Juan Regional Medical Center has several options to help the community navigate the COVID-19 National Emergency while complying with stay-at-home and social-distancing orders.
The COVID-19 screening line may be reached at (505) 675-4722 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers will be connected with a registered nurse who can answer questions about COVID-19 screening. This reduces exposures of sick people and follow the governor’s orders to help people stay at home and practice social distancing.
San Juan Regional is also continuing the External Assessment Area where patients with cold and flu-like symptoms may drive through and be evaluated and treated if necessary. This includes consideration for COVID-19 testing. Patients without symptoms should not come to the assessment and do not need testing for COVID-19. Bring ID and insurance information. The next assessments will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Those who have symptoms of COVID-19 should not enter medical facilities without first contacting them, especially emergency departments. Unless serious, emergent symptoms are present, patients should not enter emergency departments.
