San Juan Regional Medical Center will offer two free drive-thru flu shot clinics from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and Oct. 31 in the north visitor parking lot located at the corner of Maple Street and Schwartz Avenue.
Participants are asked to wear a short-sleeved shirt or roll-up sleeves and be prepared to receive the vaccine in the upper arm near the shoulder.
Wear a mask and bring a cellphone to fill out paperwork. Once in line, patients will be directed to call registration to give their information over the phone. Wait to get a flu vaccine if any COVID-19 symptoms are present.
The free flu shots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for adults 18 and older. High-risk adults, such as adults 65 years and older, pregnant women and people with certain underlying medical conditions, are strongly encouraged to get a flu shot.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone 6 months and older get an annual flu vaccine by the end of October. Schedule flu shots for children with their regular provider. Patients of San Juan Health Partners Pediatrics may call (505) 609-6700 to schedule a flu vaccination.
