San Juan Regional Medical Center will host a Stuff the Truck holiday food drive for ECHO Food Bank from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, and Thursday, Nov. 21, in the medical center’s main entrance, 657 West Maple St., Farmington.
Perishable items, such as turkeys or hams can be accepted at this event, along with cash or checks. The items most needed for holiday food boxes include frozen turkey or ham, gravy mix/chicken broth, canned green beans, dessert mixes, canned yams/sweet potatoes, dressing or stuffing mix, canned fruit and instant potatoes.
The food drive will also collect non-perishable items (no glass) at the hospital from Nov. 15 to 21.
Canned items, such as soups/chili or stew, macaroni and cheese, pancake mix and syrup and canned fruits, and individually packaged items, such as cereals, fruit cups, cereal bars, pudding cups, ready-to-eat pasta entrees, Vienna sausages, peanut butter (12 oz.) and cheese snack crackers, are needed.
