The 2024 presidential election is just around the corner, and the survival of our democracy is on the ballot. The threat is not an external one such as a foreign adversary but an internal one; former President Trump, his MAGA cult-like followers, and the Heritage Foundation’s conservative Project 2025.
To defeat this threat, we must deploy our only weapon and vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Former Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan of Georgia said to his fellow Republicans during his speech at the DNC: “If you vote for Kamala Harris in 2024, you’re not a democrat, you’re a patriot.” I urge all voters to be patriots and vote for our democracy in this election. A vote for Trump and Vance is a vote for Project 2025 taking the country backward and possible on the road to autocracy.
A vote for Harris and Walz will ensure the survival of our freedoms and will result in the country moving forward, not back to the 1950s. It is up to us as Americans to decide what we want our homeland to be, and we should always strive to have a government that works for the people and not one serving the individual sitting in the Oval Office.
