Why publish racist letters to the editor? Steve Self’s letter to the editor (“Arrogant white men must have no place,” Sept. 26) seems to denigrate white males as people less worthy than other demographic slices. This is textbook racism. Why is the Herald publishing it? Change the wording and put in “black males”, etc., and see how it reads ... would you have published such a letter?
