Having grown up and lived in this community for the past 53 years, I have witnessed change for the better and not so good. During the last several months, I have read and continue to read the vicious remarks regarding Sheriff Duke Schirard.

It is a shame Schirard’s ex-wives had to respond publicly to justify their personal lives. It also tells something about the people who would take time to supply information that is fictitious. It’s a shame that some people of this community resort to callous behavior, so they can discredit another human being.
