The Dorothy Gore P.E.O. Scholarship, sponsored by Chapter CS Durango, is once again available to any La Plata County graduating senior girl who has shown academic promise, leadership potential and service to her community. This scholarship honors Dorothy Gore, a dedicated and influential Durango teacher and devoted member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Any senior girl with at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average is eligible to apply for this $1,500 scholarship. All applicants are considered, although priority is given to applicants to Cottey College, a four-year women’s college in Nevada, Missouri, owned and financed by the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Information about Cottey is available online at www.cottey.edu.
Applications are available at high school counseling offices and must be received by Chapter CS by April 10.
