Bayfield community residents and stakeholders are invited to help shape the future of the school district by attending either of two strategic plan community input forums.
They will take place at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, or 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Bayfield High School library at 800 CR 501.
The forum will begin with a brief presentation on the strategic planning process, followed by an opportunity for parents and residents to discuss and to offer input into the draft plan.
The forum will be an occasion to gather community feedback and develop a guide for Bayfield School District's future. Public input will help the committee finalize the plan before implementing it in the district during the 2019-2020 school year and beyond.
A strategic plan is a valuable tool used by school districts to identify goals and prioritize resources. The Board of Education and school staff and site leaders rely on the visions presented within the plan to guide development of priorities and design of programs to ensure Bayfield School District remains a vibrant and a successful place to learn.
"Attending one of these forums is a great opportunity for our community to share input to guide our future work for students and staff," said Janie Hoover, president of the Bayfield School Board.
