Ignacio's Tucker Ward beats an unobstructed path for a triple last Friday at SunUte Field versus Nucla (incl. third baseman Sladen Hendrickson, 20) in San Juan Basin League action. Unfortunately the Mustangs managed to beat a few more baseballs around the yard, winning 12-1 and 12-3 to lock up first place in the 2A/1A league at 9-0. IHS finished third with a 3-6 circuit mark, but improved to 9-9 overall with a road split Tuesday at the 3A Bloomfield, N.M., JV. The Bobcats' regular season ended yesterday at SunUte against the 3A Bayfield JV, but results were unavailable at press time.
