The Colorado State Forest Service has more than 40 varieties of seedling trees for sale for conservation purposes.
Seedlings purchased now will be distributed next spring.
The seedlings were grown at the agency’s nursery in Fort Collins. The trees can be used for wind breaks, to improve wildlife habitat, reforesting of burned or flooded areas or to prevent erosion.
About 5,000 state residents buy seedlings annually. The purchase of trees must be for conservation purposes.
Information about the seedlings and purchasing is available at csfs.colostate.edu or the nursery at (970) 491-8429.
