I think it’s shame that the Arc of History had to be removed instead of repaired. Why was there no effort to raise private funds for repairs? Or to replace it with something that is still appropriate for this beautiful historic town.
Instead of auctioning it’s remains, why not sell pieces as souvenirs or as mementos to help raise funds for a replacement?
