Sen. Bennet to host small business telephone town hall Friday

Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., will host a telephone town hall from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday to provide an update for the Colorado small business community about the COVID-19 federal response.

Bennet will deliver opening remarks and moderate a panel discussion featuring Betsy Markey with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Glenn Plagens with the Colorado Small Business Development Center Network, and Cher Roybal Haavind with the Colorado Division of Labor and Employment.

Bennet will discuss implementation of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act as well as his priorities for Colorado small businesses in the next economic relief package. The panel of experts will provide information about accessing the Paycheck Protection Program, how self-employed Coloradans can apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, as well as other federal, state and local coronavirus resources available to the Colorado small business community.
