Sen. Gardner needs a new line of work

Watching Sen. Cory Gardner’s histrionics at the Capital, his outrage that Attorney General Sessions won’t continue to not enforce federal law, I immediately wondered what Republican is going to run against Gardner in the next election. Gardner is toast. If Gardner doesn’t want a federal law enforced, all he has to do is propose a new law to replace the old law ... that’s what his job as a legislator is, believe it or not. If Gardner thinks that not enough people will support his call for a new law, that’s tough ... it’s called democracy.

The laws against marijuana were democratically passed and enacted: they should be enforced, as all laws are supposed to be. This is not the Obama administration, where law enforcement was a presidential whim and making laws was something the president took upon himself to do.

The idea that Sessions is being a bad guy because he’s saying that the current marijuana laws should be enforced is absurd. Propose a new law, Sen. Gardner, and start looking for a new line of work.
