Send Coca-Cola a message about GMO labels

Coloradans will have a chance to vote for GMO labeling soon. Why, in a modern society, shouldn’t we be informed about what foods we are putting on our and our childrens’ plates? Our bodies were given the genetic information of our grandmothers and grandfathers for our digestion and healthy generation of cells. Gramps and Nana didn’t have GMOs in their food, so we don’t know how to deal with that in our bodies. It may or may not be causing disease, but the point is there is no reason we should be denied an informed choice when it comes to ingesting food for our health. It’s the norm in many countries, and really not a big deal or bother to add it to labels.

It is sad there are multinational, uber-rich corporations that think they have the right to deny us that information in the United States by fighting GMO labeling. Coca-Cola is one of those corporations.

This is a request that you boycott Coca-Cola products and send the message to this particular corporation that you think it is wrong for it to have secretly contributed more than $3 million to the campaigns against the labeling of genetically engineered foods in Washington and California. And you prefer it doesn’t meddle in voters’ media in our lovely state, thank you very much.

Apparently, 90 percent of us think there should be GMO labeling. Why not act on that belief? Boycott Coca-Cola products – Odwalla, Zico Coconut Water, Honest Tea, Simply Orange, Dasani and Vitamin Water. Consumer pressure has sent the message to other companies like Mars Inc. It’s time Coca-Cola got the message.
