Because of the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in La Plata County, the Durango/La Plata Senior Center announced it has suspended its indoor dining program. The indoor dining program has also been suspended at the Bayfield location.

The decision was made based on the risks associated with people dining together without masks and within 6 feet of each other.

The center will continue to provide home-delivered meals. Changes in meal delivery routes are planned and will be communicated directly to participants.

The severity of COVID-19 cases will be monitored and indoor dining will resumed once it is determined to be safe to do so.

All other senior center activities and services will continue as planned. Face masks are strongly encouraged while at the center.
