Rep. Jeff Hurd has betrayed the seniors in this district. He voted for the budget bill that cuts $500 billion from Medicare over the life of the bill, according to the Congressional Budget Office (see bit.ly/4jQwokG). Most of us have paid into Medicare since its beginning in 1964. We pay in through a separate tax known as the FICA tax that supports Medicare and Social Security. I don’t know how anyone can vote to cut a program that has its own separate tax but he did. Seniors, unite to stop this theft of our senior health care.
