Seventh Day Adventist Church offers program to combat anxiety, depression

The Seventh Day Adventist Church will present an introduction to a depression and anxiety treatment program at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, and 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

The church is offering the Nedley Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program, which offers non-drug solutions designed to combat depression through improving energy levels, sleep quality, mood, relationships and emotional intelligence. Participants will learn how factors, such as nutrition, exercise, light therapy and sleep patterns can help improve mental performance.

The eight-week program will begin Jan. 23 at the church, 1775 Florida Road.
