Saturday, Jan. 23, was a really big day for something like 300 people. We were lucky enough to be among the senior recipients of the vaccinations offered at the fairgrounds led by Karen Zink, San Juan Basin Public Health and many great volunteers.
Our appointment was for 1:40 p.m. As we pulled into the fairgrounds, we were met by helpful people who, after a question or two, directed us to our appointed parking spot. From there, we were informed to wait in the car until a volunteer guided us to the entrance of the Extension Building, to wait our turn (social distancing of course). The next step was into the building for the shot and then back to the car where another volunteer made sure there were no ill effects before leaving. Time at the fairgrounds about 30 minutes.
What an experience! From beginning to end could not have been better. To all those volunteers and professionals, thank you very much!
