Thursday, Jan. 24

12:37 p.m.: A man was remanded into custody by court order at Montezuma County Combined Courts, at 865 N. Park St.

12:55 p.m.: Two residents near the 36000 block of U.S. Highway 160 had a disagreement over a fence gate. One of the men removed a gate the other had put in. Both parties agreed to handle the case civilly, without criminal charges, and said they wanted to improve relations going forward.

1:41 p.m.: A man was pulled over for speeding on the 1100 block of Railroad Ave. in Dolores. He was driving 33 mph in a 25 mph school zone. He was also cited for driving on a suspended license.

2:44 p.m.: A man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, at 865 N Park St., was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

2:59 p.m.: A woman in the holding area at Montezuma County Combined Courts, at 865 N Park St., was arrested on a failure to comply warrant.

4:51 p.m.: A man was arrested at the intersection of Third and Chestnut streets in Cortez for driving a red and white 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle on a revoked license, no insurance and no registration as well as two active warrants.

8:01 p.m.: A man driving a pickup on the 29000 block of U.S. Highway 160 was cited for driving with a defective headlight and driving on a denied license.

Friday, Jan. 25

3:12 p.m.: A woman driving a green Toyota Highlander was pulled over for driving 82 mph in a 65 mph zone on the 34000 block of U.S. Highway 160 and cited for driving on a canceled license.

Saturday, Jan. 26

8:53 a.m.: A man reported that his barbecue grill with smoker attachment valued at $1,000 was possibly stolen from his property on the 27000 block of County Road P. The property was frozen solid, and there was no way to see tire tracks.

10:35 a.m.: A man was bit by a dog while feeding the animal on his residence on the 30000 block of County Road H. The man had a small bite on his right hand from his black pit bull.

Sunday, Jan. 27

12:25 a.m.: A man was arrested on the 600 block of W. Menefee Road in Mancos on a failure to comply warrant for third-degree assault from the Mancos Marshal’s Office.

Monday, Jan. 28

5:14 p.m.: A man was remanded into custody at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

12:03 a.m.: A woman pulled over on the 4000 block of U.S. Highway 160 for a defective license plate lamp was cited for lack of insurance. She was issued a verbal warning for the light.

12:21 p.m.: A woman was remanded into custody at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., and served a failure to comply warrant.
